Nazi Symbol Appears on Jewish Home in North Carolina

A west Charlotte family is on edge after someone painted obscene graffiti on the side of their home.
The graffiti included swastikas, as well as racist and homophobic language.
“Some people spray-painted a swastika, that seems very targeted since my family is Jewish,” the woman said. “Honestly, I think it was just hateful kids, but I’m not totally sure.”
The family told WCNC Charlotte that they contacted Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police about the incident and that the FBI was also investigating. The woman said her internet was down at the time of the incident so her home security system didn’t get pictures of the vandals.
“It’s crazy because you just don’t think that people do these kinds of things anymore,” she said. “You hear about things but something changes when it becomes personal and it’s in your living space. All of a sudden you don’t feel safe where you live. I’ve always felt safe here.”
WCNC Charlotte contacted CMPD for more details about the incident.
