Jewish Man Robbed and Nearly Stabbed on NYC Streets

A Chabad hassid tracked down his stolen bicycle and was attacked by the thief who was found to be carrying a knife.
A Jewish resident of the Crown Heights section of Brooklyn, New York, nearly fell victim to a violent assault on Monday when he attempted to take back his stolen bicycle.
The incident began when the Chabad hasid took his bike out of his car on Eastern Parkway.
After turning his back for a moment, he discovered that the bike had disappeared. Thanks to a GPS tracking device on the bike, the victim managed to find its exact location and called the volunteers of the local Shomrim civilian patrol organization.
Upon arriving at the location of the stolen bike, the resident was violently attacked by the thief who tried to prevent him from taking it back.
After a joint pursuit by the local Shomrim and the NYPD, the suspect was arrested and found to be carrying a knife.
The incident joins a series of violent incidents against the Jewish residents of the neighborhood.
On Saturday, an individual approached a Jewish father who was walking with his two young children and attempted to grab one of them.
In a conversation with Arutz Sheva-Israel National News, the father, Zalman, recounted: “The whole thing took like two seconds. I turned around to him, I guess I punched him, and he just left the kid. The only thing I was thinking was that he tried to kidnap the kid, and we know how it could end if he had succeeded.”
