Ana Kasparian

Anahit Misak Kasparian, better known as Ana Kasparian, is a 39-year-old California native and longtime co-host of the online news program The Young Turks. Once regarded as a progressive media personality, Kasparian has devolved into an extremist conspiracist, using her large platform to spread dangerous antisemitic rhetoric. In recent months she has promoted conspiracy theories targeting Israel, accused U.S. politicians of “dual loyalty,” and continues to evoke Holocaust reversal tropes.
Kasparian, the descendant of Armenian genocide survivors, joined The Young Turks in 2007 but has since abandoned her progressive roots. In 2025, she openly embraced far-right figures like Tucker Carlson and Congresswoman Marjorie Taylor Greene, cementing her shift into extremism and fueling antisemitic conspiracy theories under the guise of political commentary for millions to consume.
Beyond spreading hate on her podcast, Kasparian frequently uses X to amplify antisemitic conspiracies and push extremist rhetoric. Some examples of Kasparian’s claims:
- She recently commented under a politician’s post stating that they “sold America out to your masters” and “You and the rest of the scum like you in congress should be tried for treason.”
- Earlier this month, Kasparian posted, “Our country is occupied and controlled by the Israelis…. They’re using our money and our bombs to slaughter innocent people and steal land. And then our media tells us the Muslim world “hates us for our freedom”… You either love America or the country occupying it.”
- In response to a clip from her podcast, Kapsarian said on X, “I meant every word. I’ll say it louder next time. Israel’s occupation of the U.S. government needs to end… Americans don’t deserve to have their hard earned money taken from them only to be used for Israel’s genocide and land theft.”
The International Holocaust Remembrance Alliance (IHRA) definition of antisemitism, since its inception, has been adopted by every administration to combat antisemitism. In all of these instances, Kasparian’s rhetoric makes dehumanizing or stereotypical allegations about Jews, or the power of Jews as collective, and claims that Jews are more loyal to Israel than their own countries. Kasparian’s claim that pro-Israel lawmakers are traitors controlled by “masters” directly employs the dual loyalty trope while also demonizing them as ‘scum’. As per the IHRA definition, by portraying Israel and its supporters as secretly “occupying and controlling” America, while blaming Jews for war, poverty, and manipulation of the media, Kasparian spreads antisemitic conspiracy theories that demonize Jews as an all-powerful foreign cabal.
In a recent video (see above), Kasparian threatened the Jewish homeland and demonized Jewish people, saying:
- “You are hated internationally… And it’s not because you’re Jewish, it’s because you slaughter innocent people. It’s because you think you’re God’s chosen people when you act like absolute demons…”
Under the IHRA definition of antisemitism, this rhetoric is antisemitic and dangerous. By calling Jews “demons”, Kasparian dehumanizes Jewish people and targets them collectively for alleged wrongdoing – classic antisemitic rhetoric that is recognized globally.
In a separate comment on X (that was then deleted), Kasparian posted referring to a 9/11 conspiracy:
- “Oh my god not only are people like you stupid and genocidal, you’re lazy too. Cant be bothered to read FBI documents but certain they don’t describe Israeli nationals seen celebrating as the towers were getting hit.”
By claiming that Israeli nationals – or Jews by association – celebrated the 9/11 attacks, Kasparian spreads a false, harmful conspiracy theory that specifically blames Jews collectively for orchestrating the attacks. Kasparian is using her platform to spread a classic antisemitic trope about secret Jewish control and manipulation that falls under IHRA’s examples of propagating dangerous stereotypes.
Furthermore, in an X post last month, Ana Kasparian stated:
- “When I see Israel’s flag in your profile, you immediately lose credibility. Modern. Day. Nazis.”
Under the IHRA, this statement is antisemitic because it compares Israel to the Nazis and dehumanizes Jewish people. By equating anyone displaying Israel’s flag with Nazis, Kasparian demonizes Jews, delegitimizes Jewish identity, and weaponizes Holocaust imagery to vilify the Jewish people.
These hateful words that Kasparian spews across her multitude of platforms and audiences fuel hatred against Jewish people. Ana Kasparian promotes dangerous antisemitic conspiracies, demonizes Israel and Jews, and spreads false claims that put Jewish communities at risk. Her rhetoric normalizes extremism, encourages hostility, and has no place in public discourse.
More shockingly is that Ana Kasparian monetizes her Jew hate on YouTube, making six figure revenues on her channel.
