Bisan Owda

Bisan Owda is a Palestinian journalist bankrolled by multiple terror organizations, known for her popular series “It’s Bisan from Gaza and I’m Still Alive.” Despite being a Peabody Award recipient and a Nobel Peace Prize nominee, her credibility is highly questionable, to say the least. Bisan is a raging antisemite with ties to the Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine (PFLP) – a designated terrorist organization whose members participated in the 10/7 massacre – and works for AlJazeera, a terror news network funded by Qatar.
Her affiliation with the PFLP resurfaced after her recent Emmy nomination. Despite outcry from over 150 Hollywood members, the Emmys and their leader, Adam Sharp, have wrongfully stood by their decision—a slap in the fac to Israelis, Jews, and all other nominees. A closer look at Bisan’s content reveals that her clickbait-style headlines are riddled with inaccuracies designed to manipulate the emotions of her 5 million uninformed followers.

Bisan Owda has been photographed celebrating the PFLP’s 47th and 48th anniversaries, proudly donning their attire, and even served as the “Master of Ceremonies” in 2016. In 2018, the PFLP identified her as part of the Progressive Youth Union. Known for glorifying violence, the PFLP uses Bisan as a propaganda tool. She also works with AJ+ media, a Qatari-owned outlet that the U.S. government has mandated register as a foreign agent due to its direct control and funding by the Qatari government.
Adding to her already dubious ethics, it’s rumored that Bisan orchestrated a GoFundMe campaign claiming to support “Gazan” families—but instead pocketed approximately $400,000 in donations for herself. This scandal rivals the most egregious international embezzlement cases.

In a video Bisan posted with regard to Prime Minister Netanyahu’s visit to the states, she refers to Israel as the “genocidal apartheid occupation state called Isra-Hell.” Additionally, she speaks disparagingly of Zionists, saying they control and fund American politicians, and the world will remember them (Zionists) as criminals. Furthermore, she refers to Prime Minister Netanyahu as a genocidal Nazi and tells the US, “You are hosting Hitler in Congress.” She wraps up her rant with the genocidal chant “from the river to the sea, only Palestine from the river to the sea.” For someone that accuses Israel of genocide, she has no problem openly calling for the eradication of Israel and its people.
Some of Bisan’s most egregious moments include:
- Falsely claiming that “IsraHell” blocks clothes, food, water, and medicine from entering Gaza. Since the start of the war, nearly 300,000 tons of food have been delivered, and just this week, Israel sent over 25,000 vials of the polio vaccine to Gaza—enough to inoculate 1.2 million people.
- Consistently posting misleading updates on the supposed “ genocide” in Gaza, inflates fatality figures, labels the IDF as a terrorist army, and criticizes Israel for rejecting ceasefire deals that are riddled with unrealistic demands.
- Accusing “IsraHell” of falsely claiming that UNRWA workers were involved in the 10/7 attacks. However, it has since been confirmed that these workers did participate in the attacks. Bisan has yet to delete her post or issue a correction.
- Posting outdated and inaccurate figures from November 2023, falsely claiming Israel had killed over 20,000 people, all of whom were supposedly civilians. Since 10/7, Israel has set unprecedented records for lowest civilian death tolls in modern warfare, with a 1:1 ratio of terrorists to noncombatants. The IDF goes to great lengths to minimize civilian casualties. Many Israeli hostages are held in civilian homes in Gaza, blurring the line of who is truly ‘civilian.’
- Sharing her support for the so-called “student revolution” sweeping across American college campuses—an alarming movement marked by violence against Jews, calls for genocide, and displays of support for terrorism.
Even though Bisan is funded and supported by terrorists, the Emmys are still honoring her with a nomination set to be showcased on September 15th.
Terrorism has no place in our society and must never be glorified or celebrated!
