Sara Ramirez

Sara Ramirez is widely recognized for portraying Dr. Torres in the medical drama “Grey’s Anatomy”. Following the October 7th massacre, Ramirez exhibited antisemitic bias by placing blame on Israeli and Jewish victims, showing no remorse, and failing to advocate for all victims of the Hamas terrorist attacks.

Earlier this year, the actor began denying the atrocities of October 7th. The activist shared on their Instagram stories, all of which are saved in their Instagram highlights bar, that “It took [Israel] only one theory, which was a fake claim about beheaded babies to get immediate support from the world, without any evidence.” The actor continued that Israel was the one behind the majority of civilian deaths, not Hamas. Victim-shaming quickly became second nature for Ramirez.

Not only has the troubled actor not spoken out against the sexual violence, mass murder, and kidnapping carried out by Hamas, Ramirez has advocated on behalf of the terror group. For example:

  • In a post pinned to their Instagram highlights, Ramirez shared “We fully support the resistance of the Palestinian fighters against the fascist ethnostate of Israel.”
  • Ramirez then makes the absurd comparison to slavery and the Holocaust: “We do not condemn the resistance of the oppressed against their oppressor as we do not condemn slave revolts or the Warsaw Ghetto Uprising. We condemn the fascists who support Israel.”
  • Ramirez concluded in a shared post, “As the resistance fighters continue to fight the occupying forces, we will not stop fighting here to end US aid to the illegitimate ethnostate, Israel. We the people will win. And Palestine will be free.”

As an LGBTQ+ activist, the actor has been criticized for not acknowledging that Israel is the only country in the region that doesn’t persecute members of the LGBTQ+ community, but rather, celebrates individual expressions of sexuality. Instead, the actor has aligned with Hamas and the Palestinian Authority, where homosexuality is punishable by death.

In celebration of Valentine’s Day, Ramirez shared a graphic with several antisemitic points. One of the action items was to support the antisemitic Boycott, Divestment, and Sanctions (BDS) movement against Israel in hopes to cripple the economy. The actor appears unaware that BDS not only harms Israelis, it hurts thousands of Palestinians who enter Israel each day on work permits.

Sara Ramirez is also no stranger to spewing racially insensitive or factually incorrect statements to their two million followers on Instagram. For example:

  • On multiple occasions, Ramirez appeals that Israel’s self-defense and U.S. allyship is based on white-supremacy.
  • Ramirez has claimed Israel is plundering ancient artifacts before destroying buildings in Gaza despite zero evidence.
  • On January 16th, Ramirez bizarrely shared an antisemitic conspiracy that Princess Diana was murdered for supporting Palestine.
  • On February 4th, Ramirez claimed that Zionists are “monsters.” “Zionism is indefensible. Israel is indefensible. Don’t stop doing everything in your power to end Israel’s US-funded terror forever.”

In 2021, Sara Ramirez was cast as Che Diaz in the “Sex and the City” spinoff, “And Just Like That.” After public outcry, the character was written off the show. In a poll by the Daily Mail, thousands stated they were happy to see that character go, as they viewed the character as “annoying.” Ramirez insinuated that they were dismissed over their stance on Palestine. The show’s creators were quick to refute these claims, stating that Cynthia Nixon and others who had shared similar beliefs remain employed, and that ‘Sara was fired because Che brought nothing to the show anymore…[Che] was a waste of airtime, and Sara knew it.”
