Kanye West Part II

In 2022, Kanye West was named StopAntisemitism’s ‘ Antisemite of the Year‘ after countless antisemitic tirades including for threatening “I’m going death con 3 on JEWISH PEOPLE.” This was on top of his claims that Black people were the “true Hebrews,” denying the indigeneity of Jews, a nod to the antisemitic Nation of Islam leader Louis Farrakhan, who has referred to Jews as “termites.”

StopAntisemitism had hoped that would be the end of Kanye West and his antisemitic tantrums, but 2.5 years later, here we are again.

Kanye unfortunately resurfaced this past week with even more unhinged antisemitic tweets, including:

• “Jews were better as slaves. You have to put your Jews in their place and make them into your slaves.”
• “Jews are like btches. You have to keep your btches in check.”
• “Jewish wives wear the pants, and apparently, they wear the greasy-ass jerry curls too.”
• “Hitler was so fresh.”

These horrific tweets were all in addition to homophobic and violent messages about physically and sexually dominating women.

Last Sunday during the Super Bowl, millions watched as FOX aired an ad promoting Yeezy.com, Kanye West’s latest venture. Unbeknownst to many, the site was openly selling a Nazi-inspired shirt via the platform Shopify.

After days of vile antisemitic tirades and explicit NSFW content, Kanye deleted his X account, seemingly to escape the backlash. Furthermore, his agent, Daniel McCartney of 33 & West, dropped him, proving even those who once stood by him could no longer justify his hatred.

On February 10th, StopAntisemitism launched a campaign demanding Shopify deplatform Kanye for selling Nazi merchandise on their site. Thanks to 25,000+ individuals who participated in our campaign, Shopify shut it down.
