Jennifer Koonings

Jennifer Koonings, a New York City–based psychiatric nurse practitioner specializing in the trauma of sexual assault victims, recently gained public attention after posting a video of herself confronting Jewish individuals in Times Square, shouting antisemitic slurs including “baby killers” and “f*ck Israel.” Her employer, Inspire Mental Health, swiftly terminated her and publicly condemned her conduct following our exposé.

This was not an isolated episode. In 2024, Koonings was reportedly dismissed from her role as a sexual assault forensic examiner at Mount Sinai Hospital following social media posts disputing reports of sexual violence committed by Hamas during the October 7, 2023 attack on Israel.

Others have also highlighted her 2025 travel to Iran, where she appeared in state-affiliated media and made anti-American remarks, including: “The US empire is the most criminal, evil entity on the planet.”

Taken together, Koonings’ recent viral incident appears less like a one-off and more like a highly concerning pattern of anti-American, antisemitic behavior.

Jennifer Koonings repeatedly uses her social media to spread extreme, hateful rhetoric targeting Jewish people, Israel, and even the United States. Her language goes beyond political criticism, deep into dehumanization and endorsement of violence. She often promotes longstanding antisemitic tropes that focus on collective blame, dehumanization, and conspiracy rather than fact.

Examples of Jennifer Koonings’ hateful rhetoric include:

  • Responding to a post asking for prayers for victims under fire in Tel Aviv, with “Pray for the end of Israel.”
  • Exclaiming, “finish the job Iran. israel is a cancerous stain on humanity. zionism must be eliminated!”
  • Stating that “all disgusting zionists do is LIE AND RAPE AND KILL.”
  • Sharing her support for the Iranian regime and calling for the death of America: “the whole world supports Iran. death to this genocidal zio hellhole amerikkka.”
  • Claiming “its well known that “israel” steals organs from Palestinians they kidnap,” promoting fabricated blood-libel.
  • Asking, “so we are all agreeing that israel controls us now, yes?”
  • Posting “israel is a nation of pedophiles and rapists – thats it!”

At the same time, Jennifer Koonings minimizes antisemitism and dismisses its real-world impact. On the eve of Holocaust Remembrance Day just last week, she urged people to read The Holocaust Industry by known antisemite Norman Finkelstein. The The Holocaust Industry is widely criticized for arguing that Holocaust memory has been exploited for political and financial gain

Koonings’ has also mocked concerns about antisemitism outright, writing, “do Zionists ever get tired of the victim shtick?” When confronted with NYPD data showing that more than half of confirmed hate crimes in the first quarter of 2026 targeted Jews (despite Jews comprising roughly 10% of the population) Koonings’ deflected, asserting that “homelessness and mass incarceration are the worst hate crimes” and asking, “how many Jews are affected by this?”

Taken together, this is not ambiguity, it is a sustained campaign of incitement, denial, and dehumanization. Rhetoric like this does not exist in a vacuum; it erodes boundaries and normalizes harm. By amplifying hostile narratives and advancing antisemitic tropes, Jennifer Koonings does more than ignore antisemitism – she helps legitimize it. One has to ask – is she fit to hold a mental health license?
