Boca Raton Students Filmed Giving Nazi Salutes at Party, One Dressed in SS Uniform

BocaNewsNow.com has learned the school district is taking an active role in trying to figure out why the videos were shot and what the Olympic Heights High School students involved were thinking when they recorded themselves giving a Nazi salute.

As BocaNewsNow.com first reported Wednesday night, several young adults, believed to be Spanish River High School sophomores, are seen in the videos generating attention online. Principal Kelly Burke issued a statement to parents as BocaNewsNow.com revealed the existence of the videos. That statement was forwarded to us by Palm Beach County School District officials.

“An egregious video, portraying antisemitic activity, is circulating on social media. There is an unconfirmed claim that some students who attend Olympic Heights may have been involved in the production. While this highly offensive video was not taped or distributed on School District property, the District is currently investigating this matter.

The District takes a strict stance regarding combating antisemetic activity and is committed to educating our students regarding this horrific watershed event in history. By imparting students with a deeper understanding of the ramifications of prejudice, intolerance, and stereotyping, we can combat antisemitism, discrimination, and bigotry. Our District is proudly observing Holocaust Education Week, November 8 through the 12, by enlightening students through a variety of educational programs.”

The videos serve as the latest Holocaust-related problem for the Palm Beach County School District. Former Spanish River High School Principal William Latson is still suing to be reinstated after he was fired for allegedly raising doubts about the Holocaust to a parent.
