Swastikas Burned into Auschwitz Holocaust Memorial with a Blowtorch

Two swastika tags were discovered in Grenoble, France on Wednesday, July 7, 2021, on the plaque commemorating the dead of Auschwitz , on the esplanade of the companions of the Liberation, place Paul-Mistral.

The DDSP (Departmental Directorate of Public Security) of Isère indicates that these tags were inscribed with burns, surely with the help of a torch.

The judicial police went to the scene with municipal police officers. According to the technical service of the town hall, the same type of tag has already been cleaned in recent days, exactly on the same plate.

An investigation has been opened.
