Swastikas Discovered at Several Locations Across Los Angeles

The Santa Monica Police Department is investigating after antisemitic graffiti was found around the city.

Authorities say there were multiple swastikas drawn in different areas, including on buildings, sidewalks, roads, and street signs.

Video obtained by KTLA shows the swastikas in various locations.

Santa Monica Police Chief Ramon Batista released a statement condemning the antisemitic graffiti.

“We are appalled by these cowardly acts of antisemitism,” Batista said. “Our department is fully committed to upholding the safety and dignity of all members of our community.”

There were a record number of antisemitic incidents in Los Angeles, and across California in 2023.

Hate crimes of any kind have also risen across L.A. since last year.

Anyone with information about potential suspects is asked to call 310-458-8491 to speak with a non-emergency dispatcher or utilize the Santa Monica 3-1-1 App.
